Sunita, Dawn, May and Gifty have been best friends since primary school. They’ve spent every summer together since then, but now, in the summer before Year 10, they are about to be apart for six whole weeks. After a disastrous and embarrassing end-of-term party, they’ve realised they need to use their summer to grow up . . . fast!

As they vow to stay in touch, each of them must learn to reconcile their unique sparks, quirks and passions with the heavy expectations and pressures that come with being a teenage girl. By the time they reunite, they know they’ll be changed by this summer. But will growing up force them apart? Or can they come back closer to each other . . . and their trueselves?
